This VN utterly gripped me. I'm usually kinda iffy about kinetic novels — they just don't scratch the right itch most of the time — but this may be one of my top three, and it's not even just because the transfeminine perspective absolutely fucking drips from the narrative. I immediately ran to recommend PINFEATHER to my friends the moment I finished it.
There were a lot of elements that had me feeling kind of uncertain early on, e.g., the general absence of music outside of, like, Silent Hill 2 sounds, and the monospaced font that looks like something out of a default RPG Maker game, but it quickly won me over. The relationship between February and Rhiannon is so dark and creepy and the ending is absolutely haunting in a way that will stick with me a while. Incredible work.
This was a crazy good visual novel. Not only are the body horror elements very effective and well-researched, but I just didn’t expect the relationship to go into this direction at all. I can see why these two characters are just bonded together for the better and for worse, and why they act like this forever.
Just an impressive game altogether. Highly recommended.
This was really sick, I loved it... Loved the extremely gross foley sounds, loved the rambling sadistic fantasies, loved the weird cuckolding and kind of despicably complicit nature of the protagonist... loved that you placed the credits where you did. What an incredibly fun game
oh em gee - even though it's Like That, I loved it and I'm not even mad that my whole Wednesday is now bloody and full o' bones cracking in my head. Y'all worked so hard, this is so cool and good.
playing this with headphones on really adds to the horror. i have autism goddamit, all those grating sounds. it was uncomfortable and that was great that i get to feel like they do.
you have really outdone yourself with this, the disjointed scenes all moving towards the climax had such a thrilling pacing. and the art and presentation working together sold the emotion with ease
the ero fingers cgs were brilliant. yes. nice. good job

great stuff! looks beautiful, the sound design is really good, and the writing is gripping!
REALLY, REALLY GOOD!
Some really good shit here. The grinding sound effects in particular were so viscerally effective I had to stop for a moment.
Fabulous, absolutely disgusting, I just finished it and I'm actually physically chilly from reading it.
Also - the connections of being monstrous and/or helpless to being trans are just impeccable.
Absolutely adored it. Going to recommend this to anyone who is okay with the body horror.
